DORSETT ARABIAN HORSE FARM SALES POLICY
It is Dorsett Farms sales policy to arrange happy, permanent homes for the Arabian horses we sell. Our goal is to include our clients in an ever-widening circle of permanent friends.
Arabian Horses owned by Dorsett Farm will sell with a recent trim, worming, boosters and a negative, effective coggins test. Provision for such expenses for consignment horses might have to be discussed with the seller.
Dorsett Farms will accept terms, especially on horses that stay here for boarding or training.
Dorsett Farms offers a 30 day no questions asked, money back plan on horses that stay here for a 30 day trial.
A buyer can select that plan and make a substantial down payment, usually $500, with a signed contract of purchase. Additionally the buyer completes a board and/or training contract starting at the time of purchase. During the first 30 days, we are a happy to assist the buyer and the horse adjust to each other. At any point in that 30 days, that the buyer decides against the horse, they owe only the board and expenses incurred to that date.
We do not offer off-farm trial periods.
Our trainer will discuss any horse she knows candidly and in private, if preferred. She offers lessons with their horse for the new owner, but she may charge a fee for her time.
Buyers are urged to have a thorough vet check of any horse prior to final purchase.
